Equipping our youngest believers for kingdom life

Children’s Ministry

At SC Kids, we are passionate about guiding families in nurturing their kids’ faith in God and teaching them how they can partner with God to do Kingdom work here on Earth. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the ultimate teacher who helps us understand God's ways and how to live a life committed to Christ. Our ministry provides a safe and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and explore their faith through creative storytelling and meaningful worship. We encourage kids to listen to God's voice, pray, and bless others, and we strive to inspire families to follow Jesus and experience the powerful impact of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Children are not just the kids of the church; they are the church!

 Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings, kids are invited to attend age-appropriate classes focused on worship, teaching, and prayer – in a fun and exciting atmosphere. The last Sunday of every month, our kids (preschool and older) stay in “big church” for Family Worship before going to their classes. Parents check in their children upon arrival on Sunday morning through our registration system that ensures kids leave only with the appropriate adults.

  • Nursery (birth - age 3):

In a safe and loving environment, our youngest kids experience God’s love and care through our staff and volunteers. We invite each child into God’s presence through story, worship, prayer, and intentional developmentally appropriate activities.

  • Preschool (ages 3/4-5):

Preschoolers will journey through the Big God Story with creative storytelling and engaging worship. We seek to disciple each child by inspiring him or her, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to discover and experience God by practicing hearing His voice and responding in worship to who He is.

  • Elementary (age 6-4th grade):

Every week elementary students are welcomed into a fun, safe and spiritually engaging environment. Children are invited to discover and experience God and His redemptive story through interactive worship, age-appropriate teaching and discussion with their peers. Kids also play an active part in the SC Kids outreach program, SC Kids Give Back the first Sunday of every month.

Special Events

SC Kids also hosts a variety of special events for kids and families throughout the year. Things like the Easter Eggstravaganza and Vacation Bible School create special memories for kids and other events like Family Movie Nights and the Memory Verse Challenge Celebration provide opportunities for families to connect.

Youth Ministry

Middle and high school can be a challenging time for teens. SC Youth provides a place where teens can be their true selves and experience the God who loves them dearly. We know we only have a few years to equip teens for life beyond high school and take seriously the call to disciple them in relationships with Jesus that will serve as their foundation as adults. And we have a lot of fun along the way.

Sunday Mornings

5th-7th Grade:

We know pre-teens are too old for Children’s ministry but not quite ready for Sunday morning service. For this age group, they join their families in service for worship every week before being dismissed for to the Attic where they study the Word, eventually going through the whole Bible, giving space for discussion and how it applies to their unique stage of life.

As a multi-generational church, we value older teens as a part of our Sunday morning worship service. By worshiping with their families, students in 8th-12th grades become comfortable with the church experience, making for a smoother transition as adult believers. Many students also serve with the Worship Arts Team or in Children’s ministry.

Youth Group

Our mid-week youth programs focus on fun, friendship, and following Jesus. At every gathering, kids have the opportunity to share the highs and lows of their weeks, which allows the group to celebrate what God is doing and pray for one another where needed. Then there’s the Bible study where kids can freely share what the like about the passage, what is challenging about it, and how they can live it out. And it wouldn’t be youth group without building friendship through fun, games, and food.

  • Middle School Youth Group

    Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30pm

  • High School Youth Group

    Thursdays, 6:30-9pm
